Share: Connecting with Community in the Context of Social Distancing

How do we do social R&D in the context of a global pandemic?
How do we connect the communities we serve in the context of social distance?

The Social R&D Community is a network of practitioners dedicated to growing the craft of research and development in the social sector. Social R&D practitioners use creative approaches to generate new knowledge and innovations (services, programs, initiatives or products) to address complex social, environmental and cultural challenges.

This fall there will be 4 monthly social R&D community of practice sessions that engage practitioners to Learn, Share and Build the field.

Our October 2nd Share session will be focused on the following questions:

How do we do social R&D in the context of a global pandemic?

How do we connect to the communities we serve in the context of social distancing?

As social R&D practitioners, our work has changed significantly in the past few months as we have had to learn quickly to adapt to this new context. In this call, you are invited to explore some of the challenges that are coming up in your work, and support others by sharing the practices that have helped you.

Through an engaging peer-input process in small groups, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with others and get feedback on a challenge you want to bring forth as well as give feedback to others on how to move forward with their own COVID-related challenges.
