Thom Vincent's Ride To Conquer Cancer Comes to an End - A great Finish

Hi Everyone: I wanted to thank all my friends and financial supporters during my Ride to Conquer Cancer. I finished the two day, 210 KM ride on Sunday afternoon. It was quite a journey, both physical and emotional. The Princess Margaret Hospital did a phenomenal job in organizing the event and having the route mapped out and cleared for us...over 2800 riders participated and we raised over $14 Million to fight cancer. Through your generous contributions I personally raised nearly $14,000 and our team of 10 riders raised over $80,000. It was unbelievable to see Cancer survivors ride with us....one chap who had a double lung transplant two years ago completed the ride and another girl who lost a leg to cancer did the first day's ride on a special bike, with only one leg......as my friend Don said, it was a humbling experience at times. Skiis and Bikes Sponsored our team with special ride jerseys which we wore proudly for the second day of the ride......see the pics
attached as I reached the finish line . All the time spent raising funds from you good people and training 3-5 hours at least every second day for months really made my ride a personal success. The Ride weekend was an experience I will remember all my life......and I plan to make this an annual challenge. I would invite any of you to ride with me next year......let me know. Once again many thanks for all your wishes and the donations. Let's all hope we can really Conquer cancer in our lifetime
